The best cheap hosting for your website (reviews and prices)
Do you want the answer right away? The best cheap web hosting provider is without a doubt
I understand that you want to shop around. You want to get the best possible rate for your web hosting.
I must admit that searching for the cheapest web hosting providers can be somewhat difficult..
Based on my experience (and research), I have seen that web hosting providers offer very cheap introductory rates at the beginning. However, in order to get the lowest possible monthly rate, you will need to pay in advance and in full for at least a year.
In general, the longer your contract with the host is, and the more you pay in advance, the lower your monthly rates will be. It is also worth noting that your rates could double, or even triple, at the time of contract renewal.
You cannot simply take the rates announced at face value. What may seem like a
The word "cheap" does not mean the same thing for everyone. One of your friends might recommend a cheap hosting plan for them, but it might be out of your budget.
In addition, the cheapest option is not always the best. Some hosts have low rates but provide poor service. This will end up costing you more in the long run. In fact, this is what inspired me for this guide.
I have taken all these factors into consideration to identify the most affordable web hosting providers that deserve to be used. Note, however, that all the options presented in this guide are shared hosting.
This guide answers all your questions, whether you are looking for monthly packages or annual options.
Affordable hosting plans for long-term projects
Overall, I was able to list:
DreamHost
Hostinger – À partir de 7,99 .-(contrat au mois)
A2 Hébergement – À partir de 9,99.- (contrat au mois)
HostGator – À partir de 10,95.- (contrat au mois)
SiteGround – À partir de 11,95.- (contrat au mois)
iPage – À partir de 2,99.- (contrat annuel)
Bluehost – À partir de 4,95.- (contrat annuel)
InMotion – À partir de 4,99.- (contrat annuel)
To get the lowest monthly rates, you must sign a contract for more than a year. This will cost you more money upfront, but will allow you to save money in the long run.
If you want cheaper hosting providers, there are:
Hostinger
iPage – 1,99.- par mois (36 mois payés en entier)
DreamHost – 2,59.- par mois (48 mois payés en entier)
HostGator – 2,75.- par mois (36 mois payés en entier)
Bluehost – 2,95.- par mois (36 mois payés en entier)
A2 Hébergement – 2,96.- par mois (35 mois payés en entier)
Siteground – 3,95.- par mois (24 mois payés en entier)
InMotion – 3,99.- par mois (24 mois payés en entier)
If you know that your website will be operational for at least a few years, I recommend a long-term contract. Just make sure to subscribe to a plan that offers a money-back guarantee, so you can withdraw from it early on if you are not satisfied.
The best monthly hosting rates (payment per month)
For those of you who do not want long-term contractual commitments, you will need to find a cheap web hosting provider that offers monthly rates. I will warn you, however, that these prices will generally be slightly higher than others, but you will not be locked in for several years.
DreamHost
• Starts at 12.- per month
If you are looking for an affordable web hosting solution,
DreamHost offers monthly web hosting plans starting at less than $5 per month.
Shared startup
Partagé Illimité – 10,95.- par mois
There are no setup fees and no conditions attached. You can cancel your subscription whenever you want, without committing for more than one month.
Both plans come with a free website builder, pre-installed WordPress, and a free SSL certificate.
Emails are free with the Shared Unlimited plan and start at 1.67.- per month with the Shared Starter plan.
I particularly like DreamHost because their support team is 100% in-house. They do not outsource their support agents like other cheap web hosting companies. However, there is a catch: live chat and email support are only available for 16 hours a day.
They compensated for their absence by including FAQs and guides on their website. You will be able to find the answers to your questions yourself.
Not only is your subscription on a monthly basis, but you will also be refunded if you are not satisfied. DreamHost offers a 97-day money-back guarantee, the best in the industry!
Hostinger
Starts at 7.99.-/month
5,85.-/mois si vous payez annuellement
Certificat SSL gratuit
Garantie de remboursement de 30 jours
Hostinger is not the most well-known name in the hosting industry, nor the cheapest, but it offers affordable web hosting with monthly contracts.
Here is an overview of their monthly rates:
Unique shared hosting
Hébergement partagé Premium – 11,95.- par mois + 4,99.- de frais d’installation
Hébergement partagé d’entreprises – 15,95.- par mois + 4,99.- de frais d’installation
The biggest difference between these three plans lies in the server resources and the number of websites that can be hosted. The available disk space is 10 GB, 20 GB, or 30 GB, respectively.
The unique shared hosting plan has a bandwidth of 100 GB and is suitable for a single website. However, the Premium and Business plans have unlimited bandwidth and allow hosting up to 100 websites.
The three plans have a 99.9% uptime guarantee, 24/7 customer support, and a user-friendly website builder.
I like Hostinger because their service is reliable and they do not force you to commit long term. However, the packages lack some features. You can add them, but they are mostly paid.
Daily backups (free with Business Shared plan)
CDN
Outils SEO
Support prioritaire
At a minimum, I recommend daily backups. Perhaps the Cloudflare CDN is sufficient.
A2 Hosting
Starting from 9.99.-/month
7,99.-/mois si vous payez annuellement
Domaine gratuit et certificat SSL
Garantie de remboursement de 30 jours
A2 Hosting is known as one of the fastest web hosting providers in the industry. The fact that you can get affordable monthly prices from such a reputable provider is therefore a great thing!
The monthly rates offered by A2 Hosting are a bit different compared to other providers that I mentioned earlier.
A2 offers a reduced rate on the first month of the contract. Plus, as the months go by, the rates gradually increase. However, they remain affordable enough to fall into the category of inexpensive web hosting. Let's take a closer look at the rates of these packages:
Light
Swift – 4,90.- pour le premier mois, puis 12,99.- par mois
Turbo – 9,31.- pour le premier mois, puis 25,99.- par mois
If you are looking for cheap web hosting, you probably will not consider the turbo plan, as it renews for 26.- per month (although this plan gives you the fastest speeds).
A2 Hosting offers a free SSL certificate for all three plans. However, you will need to pay an additional $4 per month if you want a dedicated IP address. Site builders, backups, spam protection, and Cloudflare also come at an additional cost.
Another reason why I recommend A2 hosting is that it provides a cPanel control panel. This feature will allow you to manage your hosting experience much more easily.
HostGator
Starting from 10.95.-/month
8,95.-/mois si vous payez annuellement
Domaine gratuit et certificat SSL
Garantie de remboursement de 45 jours
HostGator's entry-level prices are slightly higher compared to previous ones, but rest assured, they remain one of the best providers of cheap web hosting in the industry.
The three proposed plans are:
Hatching plan
Plan Bébé – 11,95.- par mois
Plan d’entreprise – 16,95-. par mois
At first glance, the starting point of 10.95 may seem high, but that is not really the case.
You think it's rather expensive? I understand. But if we take into account the installation fees and renewal rates of the other providers that I just listed (and some others that I will list in the following paragraphs) 10.95.- is affordable.
The fact that there is only one difference between the Hatchling and Baby plans is another bonus. In my opinion, it is not really necessary to subscribe to the Baby plan.
Even if you only have one domain for now, being able to add more in the future without changing plans is very valuable.
However, expect to pay more for additional features: SiteLock monitoring, professional email, SEO tools, and daily backups.
If you want, I have listed for you the
HostGator offers 24/7/365 support via phone, email, and live chat. They provide instant account activation with no setup fees and a 45-day money-back guarantee.
SiteGround
Starting from $11.95/month

SiteGround is another big name in the web hosting industry. They have a great reputation, which is why many large companies all over the world have chosen it.
Their monthly pricing is a bit unique. SiteGround offers a discounted rate for the first month, advertised as a trial. After that, the rate increases gradually.
Here is a more in-depth analysis of their pricing
New business venture
GrowBig – 5,95.- + 24,95.- de frais d’installation à l’essai, puis 19,95.- par mois
GoGeek – 11,95.- + 24,95.- de frais d’installation à l’essai, puis 34,95.- par mois
In reality, the price of the GoGeek plan is outside of what most people consider "cheap" in terms of web hosting. But with sufficient resources to accommodate around 100,000 monthly visits, it is an excellent option for a large website.
For those of you who are launching a new website, the startup plan should suit you.
The best affordable hosts with an annual payment
If you are ready to commit to a cheap web hosting plan for at least one year, you will get a lower monthly rate if you pay for 12 months upfront. These packages will cost you more initially, but will allow you to save money in the long term.
iPage

iPage has been around for over 20 years. It is known for their affordable pricing. In fact, over a million websites use it for their hosting.
Its annual rates are indeed cheap.
As we have already seen, other hosting providers offer multiple plans at varying prices. The price depends on the features and resources. For iPage, it's different. Its price depends on the duration of your contract. So you can customize your plan with additional products.
The base price for an annual hosting plan is $2.99 per month, which translates to an initial total of $35.88 for the year.
Here are some additional features that you can add to customize your plan:
Daily backups - $14.99 per year
Sécurité du site web – 19,95.- par an
Constructeur de sites web pro – 131,88.- par an
SiteLock – 23,88.- par an
Confidentialité des domaines – 9,99.- par an
Optimisation de WordPress – 36,00.- par an
G Suite business – 36,00.- par an
I am sure that not all of you need these additional options. However, the minimum required would be the domain privacy and security option. This would bring your initial annual total to $65.82.
It is worth noting that iPage offers a free SSL certificate and a 30-day money-back guarantee for its annual plans as well.
I did, however, have some issues with this hosting provider during a project for a client of mine
SiteGround

We have already reviewed SiteGround's monthly pricing. But their annual rates are attractive enough for me to mention them again here.
In most cases, cheap web hosting providers offer better discounts for long-term contracts. But SiteGround offers the same monthly rate for 12, 24, and 36-month contracts.
You will always have to pay in advance, but you do not need to commit to three years in order to get the best rate.
Startup
GrowBig – 5,95.- par mois (71,40.- par an)
GoGeek – 11,95.- par mois (143.- par an)
So, if you know that you want to use SiteGround for at least a year, these annual rates are much more affordable than the monthly options we previously discussed.

The plans
Here is a closer analysis of BlueHost's annual rates:
Basic
Plus – 7,45.- par mois (89,40.- par an)
Choix Plus – 7,45.- par mois (89,40.- par an)
Pro – 18,95.- par mois (227,40.- par an)
I would like to point out that the Basic plan is an excellent option for a new or small website. However, if you have the budget to spend a little more, the Plus and Choice Plus plans are offered at the same price for the first year. I therefore recommend the Choice Plus plan, as it offers additional benefits such as website backups and domain privacy protection.
Simply know that all of these plans renew at higher rates after the first year. The renewal rate for the Choice Plus plan is 16.99 per month (203.88 per year), compared to 12.99 per month (155.88 per year) for the Plus plan.
For an additional 4.- per month, I would still lean towards Choice Plus as the best value for money.
All plans come with a free SSL certificate and unlimited bandwidth. The basic plan has 50 GB of storage, and the other three plans have unlimited SSD storage.
Bluehost also offers $100 in advertising credits for Microsoft Advertising as well as $100 in credits for Google Ads. The free advertising can offset some of your hosting costs.
InMotion
$4.99/month paid annually
Domaine gratuit et certificat SSL
Courrier électronique gratuit et illimité
Garantie de remboursement de 90 jours
The cheap web hosting plans offered by InMotion are excellent for small business owners. Here are the different packages; they may interest you:
Freelancer
Power – 6,99.- par mois (83,88.- par an)
Pro – 13,99.- par mois (167,88.- par an)
Here again, you must pay in advance to lock in these annual rates.
Most entry-level plans limit you to hosting just one website. But InMotion's Launch plan allows you to host two websites.
All plans offer unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email, a security suite, marketing tools, and a free SSL certificate.
InMotion also has a free one-click installer for over 400 applications, as well as automatic data backups and restores.
Another reason why I recommend InMotion is its 90-day money-back guarantee. This guarantee should make you feel more comfortable paying for a full year when signing up.
Although InMotion offers some additional modules such as a dedicated IP address and backup management, the plans seem to include more basic features than those of some other providers.
How to calculate the actual costs with a cheap web host?
Hosting costs are not always transparent. However, you should be aware that in addition to the base rate, there are other factors to consider.
Introduction to pricing and renewal rates
No matter the duration of your subscription (one month, one year, or four years), your first contract will always be your best offer. So what happens when the contract expires?
Let's take the example of iPage (which has the lowest annual rate on the list)..
The launch price for a 12-month contract, paid in full, is $2.99 per month. The base cost of your hosting is therefore $35.88 for the first year. However, iPage's annual plans renew at $9.99 per month, which means you will pay a base cost of $119.88 for each subsequent year.
Hosting providers are constantly changing their launch offers. It is common to see prices drop during holidays, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday. That being said, I advise against waiting for such an offer to launch your website.
The duration of the contract
If you are short of money and do not want to commit, monthly hosting plans are more attractive. It should be noted that the shorter the contract duration, the higher the monthly rates.
For example, HostGator's entry prices start at $10.95 per month with no long-term commitment. This will cost you $131.40 over the year, which is very affordable.
However, if you subscribe to the exact same plan for 36 months and pay upfront, the monthly rate drops to 2.75. You will therefore benefit from three years of web hosting for a total of 99. This is cheaper than the cost of one year at the monthly rate!
Before making your choice, weigh the pros and cons. The downside of a long-term contract is that you lose the ability to modify your plan if it does not suit you or if your resources are insufficient.
In my opinion, I think it would be best to opt for a long-term subscription (if possible). In case you are required to change your domain name, you have the option to continue using the same hosting plan.
I still wanted to make sure that you know
Supplements and freebies
Most cheap web hosting providers offer additional features. When they are included in the base cost, you are lucky! Some providers also offer more features than others. In any case, make sure that the price of a plan reflects the number of additional functions you get.
In addition to web hosting, there are additional modules and extras available such as:
SSL Certificate
Enregistrement de domaines
Coûts d’installation
Sécurité
Sauvegardes quotidiennes
cPanel
Intégration de WordPress
Crédits publicitaires
Courriel
Outils de marketing
Outils de référencement
Bases de données MySQL
Confidentialité du domaine
Créateurs de sites web
The list is long, but take the time to consider it. It is important.
Also, a plan may seem more attractive at first glance, but make sure to check if you need to (or not) pay an additional fee to get the features you need.
Updates
As your website grows, you will eventually need to look beyond the cheapest web hosting option. At some point, your traffic and website will outgrow the chosen plan.
The next logical step is to move to VPS hosting or hosting on the cloud.
Although this may not happen for several years, you should already be informed about it.
Conclusion
You don't need to spend a ton of money on hosting, especially if you have a new or small website. However, it can be difficult to find the best cheap hosting provider; prices depend on many factors.
I strongly advise against choosing a web host based solely on price. You should also consider the quality of the service you receive.
If your website goes down, you want to make sure that your hosting provider is available to remedy the situation immediately, don't you?
Next, you need to think about the type of plan you want: monthly, annual, or long-term? Evaluate the hosting based on its features, resources, and customer service.
So if you are in the market for cheap web hosting, here are the providers you should consider:
DreamHost
Hostinger – À partir de 7,99.- (contrat au mois)
A2 Hébergement – À partir de 9,99.- (contrat au mois)
HostGator – À partir de 10,95.- (contrat au mois)
SiteGround – À partir de 11,95.- (contrat au mois)
iPage – À partir de 2,99.- (contrat annuel)
Bluehost – À partir de 4,95.- (contrat annuel)
InMotion – À partir de 4,99.- (contrat annuel)
